Suzuki's radical G-Strider Review

The G-Strider
Most significant in the design is the feet-forward riding position of the scooter which has been further modified with a lower seat and a lower frontal area for the fully-faired machine. Suzuki’s literature describes the riding position as one that “a relaxed human body assumes in a weightless environment.”
With an obviously heavy emphasis on comfort, the bike’s handlebars, footrests, seat backrest, passenger backrest and windscreen are all electrically adjustable on the move to enable dialling in the most comfortable riding position available.

Already producing the largest scooter-styled motorcycle in the form of the 650cc Bergman, Suzuki has retained the parallel-twin motor but increased its capacity to 916cc – once more getting power to the (massive 220) rear wheel is via Suzuki’s very efficient electronically-controlled continuously variable transmission, the same transmission we raved about in testing the Bergman.

The front suspension is of the centre-hub type and brakes at both ends are anti-lock, but it is the electronic and communication systems which demonstrate the most forward thinking. Like many of the prestige automotive manufacturers, Suzuki is clearly developing an intelligent telematics system which communicates directly with the distributor network’s computers with bi-directional wireless system. Though only sketchy details were provided in the documentation at the Tokyo Motor show, it appears that motorcycle will report wirelessly on the condition of its systems so the distributor network can take a more proactive role in the maintenance of the machine and perhaps even the upgrading of software within the systems. The bike features a self-diagnosis system, and two rear-facing cameras which are incorporated in the rear lighting system and display video to the “mirrors”.
The headlight system also incorporates new technology, with a powerful combination headlight comprising a high-intensity-discharge projector-type light source flanked by high intensity light-emitting diodes (LEDs). The intelligence incorporated in the system involves night riding where the motorcycle’s microprocessors judge the radius of a corner based on the angle of the motorcycle and the handlebars and illuminates the corner on the inside of the curve, a long overdue enhancement to overcome the problems associated with night riding on winding, unlit roads. LEDs are also employed in the rear taillight and turn signals to enhance conspicuity even during daylight riding.

Latest 2011 suzuki gsr 750 Review

The 2011 Suzuki GSR750 is being previewed by this official sketch ahead of October’s Intermot Cologne

motorcycle show. Unlike the two GSX-Rs, this is an all-new bike.
The Suzuki GSR750 joins bikes like the Kawasaki Z750R, Yamaha FZ8, Aprilia Shiver and Triumph Street Triple in the practical, affordable middleweight naked class. Bikes like this sell extremely well in Europe where insurance prices dictate ownership costs and motorcycles fulfill actually transportation needs. Middleweight nakeds pack comfortable ergonomics and reasonable street performance into affordable packages that can massively undercut built-to-spec race-reps.

As you’d expect, the GSR750 uses a re-tuned (read de-tuned) version of the GSX-R750 engine. Expect peak power to be reduced from 148bhp at the crank on the GSX-R to 125bhp-ish on the GSR. Peak torque should remain around 60lbft-ish, but the curve should now be fatter.

Latest Suzuki GSX-R600 review

After taking a year off in 2010, American Suzuki comes out swinging with a ground-up redesign of its GSX-R600 and GSX-R750 fraternal twins. The Gixxer 600 has long been Suzuki’s best-selling streetbike, so the engineers in Hamamatsu made countless top-to-bottom improvements to the 2011 model to compete with some excellent class rivals.

Best Suzuki Hayabusa Review and articles.

Suzuki Hayabusa is among the most popular sports motorcycles ever produced. Since its inception the Suzuki Hayabusa was widely regarded as the fastest bike in production in the world until major Japanese motorcycle manufacturers voluntarily imposed speed regulators in their bikes under pressure from European governments. The bike is also known as GSX1300R in some countries. In the unrestricted environment of a racetrack, Hayabusa can thrill anyone with its awesome power.

Design
The bike has twin-spar aluminum frame. Aerodynamic efficiency is optimized with a wider fairing and a 15mm-taller windscreen to shelter its rider effectively. The body panel joints are smoother and have no exposed fasteners. Top of the fuel tank is lower allowing a tighter full tuck. The tailsection of the bike has an enlarged speed hump.

Engine
The Hayabusa's 4-stroke, four-cylinder liquid-cooled 1299cc engine enables it to produce massive peak power of 175 bhp at 9800 rpm and reach from 0-100 km/h in three seconds flat.

Technical Features
Response from the high-tech fuel-injection system is impressive, aided by injectors with fine-atomizing 12-hole squirters. Radial-mounted four-piston calipers can employ brakes effectively. The new slipper clutch also lends effective help in braking. The clutch has the Suzuki Clutch Assist System that enhances the amount of force on the clutch plates without using stiffer clutch springs. It also has a new friction material for better feedback at the engagement point. Exhaust system takes care of the stringent emissions standards.

Hayabusa Journey
Hayabusa was introduced by Suzuki in 1999. It derived its name from the Japanese term for the Peregrine Falcon, the fastest creature on the planet with speed exceeding 300 km/h. Hayabusa was a massive success right from its inception, encouraging other bike manufacturers to come up with similar speedsters. However, none of its competitors was as successful in the US and European markets. The 2008 model carried a MSRP of US$11,999.

The salient features that distinguish it from naked hence , affect not only the appearance but the ergonomics and trim . The saddle is placed 70 mm higher than the Gladius to 855 mm from ground Nasty on . The fork has a sportier set-up and the handle is an element biconical 22-28 mm with different curvature , risers and stems with specific coverage between the two plates look more impressive .

The seat is padded and has a thickness of 2 cm higher than the Gladius , a driving position more suited to the spirit of the Nasty . Treated even finishWith a coating for leather saddle made of high quality water resistant. For the painting has been used an innovative material that exploits the properties of photoluminescence, A technique used to hand guards , tank and rims. Thanks to this property of special paint, livery Nasty accumulates a certain amount of light, whether natural or artificial, then return the shine in the dark for a period of about 4-5 hours. The personality of the line is accentuated by discharge special and tip, Both from official Suzuki accessories catalog . Nasty will evolving – concludes Luca Pozzato, Designer of GP Design – Customizable at will and allowing the end user to have a custom bike . We seems much more of an exercise in style and something much more close to a prototype rather than a concept bike . The ‘ Nasty ‘, with the generous Twin 650 that equips the Gladius , should be full right to be included in the segment of medium-capacity twin cylinder motard road , already populated by Aprilia Dorsoduro and Ducati Hypermotard 796, two bikes from birth have enjoyed good sales success .If Suzuki take into account the possibility of creating a similar model would be a ” move the market ” courageous by the House of Hamamatsu, which would enter first, among the Japanese manufacturers , in a very interesting and growing segment .
